We were honored to be the special speakers at the Hagerstown Branch of the American Association of University Women's (AAUW) 74th Founder's Day Luncheon.  Deputy Director Barry Jackson spoke about the process of running a successful election, even in a non-election year, and fielded many great questions and comments from a very informed and engaged audience.

The Washington County Board of Elections was invited by the Sunrise Rotary Club of Hagerstown to speak at their weekly breakfast meeting on Friday, August 3, 2018.  Deputy Director Barry Jackson gave an overview of all the Board of Elections does to run a successful election.

The Washington County Board of Elections once again participated in the Hub City 100 Mile Challenge as part of TEAM GEORGE!  The Challenge is put on by City of Hagerstown Parks and Recreation and encourages citizens to go 100 miles in 100 days, whether it be walking, running, cycling, or 20 minutes of physical activity.  TEAM GEORGE is made up of Washington County Government employees.  Click the above links to learn more, and we'll see you out there!

Members of the Board of Elections staff participated with other Washington County Government staff in the United Way of Washington County's Day of Caring on September 19th.

Staff members were at a residence in Boonsboro, weed wacking and landscaping the yard, power washing the house, and painting the outside trim.

Over 1,800 volunteers helped with over 140 projects throughout Washington County, and the Board of Elections staff were thankful to be part of it.
