Director Barry Jackson recently appeared on The Flipside to discuss the latest in Washington County election news!
Members of the Board of Elections staff visited Smithsburg High School for a voting demonstration. Students learned about the voting process for Washington County. They were able to participate in a mock election and experience what a voter experiences on election day! Every student who participated was able to vote a ballot, cast their ballot in the scanning unit, and see the results for their class within minutes!
The Washington County Board of Elections attended Back to School Night for Williamsport High School where we were available with voter registration and election judge applications.
We then partnered with Hagerstown Community College (HCC) to hold a Voter Outreach Event during National Voter Registration Day. At HCC we were able to provide community members the opportunity to attend a training session and become a voter registration volunteer!
